The Oregon State men's basketball coaches received good news late last week when 6-foot-7, 205 pound power forward Devon Collier from Jersey City (NJ) St. Anthony's verbally committed to the Beavers.

Collier visited Corvallis in early October and walked away impressed. After taking a few more trips to Providence, Seton Hall and St. Johns, he felt that he was ready to make his decision.

"All of the trips were great," Collier told BeaverBlitz on Monday. "It was nothing against any of them; I just really liked Oregon State and wanted to get away."
