Notre Dame's interest in class of 2012 defensive end Noah Spence has spanned two seasons and two coaching staffs. The Charlie Weis-led Irish first took notice of the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder from Bishop McDevitt High School in Philadelphia, Pa., during his freshman season and Brian Kelly's staff was equally impressed, and even verbally offered a scholarship.
