Ducks offer star JUCO safety
Oregon has been busy working the junior colleges during the spring, looking for fits into their system. They apparently think they have found one, as they made an offer on Wednesday to one of the most sought-after players in the nation.
Los Angeles Pierce safety Gerald Bowman has officially ran out of fingers and toes to count his offers and now will have to start using his teeth. The sensational safety prospect picked up an offer on Wednesday, when the Ducks came a knocking.
“I got an offer today from Oregon,” Bowman said. “I have been in contact with coach Neal. He came to our school and informed both myself and my coaches that they had offered me.”
Bowman is 6-foot-1, 210 pounds and fast with a reported 40-time in the 4.45 range. He was very active in 2010 for the Brahmas, finishing third on the team with 56 tackles in just eight games.
Bowman says an offer from Oregon feels very satisfying.
