Robbins bracing for crazy finish
If there was ever a prospect that needed more than the five allotted official visits it would be Miami (Fla.) Southridge cornerback Lamar Robbins.
Not because the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder wants the free trips, but because he wants to give every school recruiting him an equal opportunity.
"Nine times out of ten I've heard things from players and coaches and they will tell you stuff to make it sound good. And then I do my own research to find out the facts," he said. "But it's division one, every school has a good program and there's no such thing as a bad degree when you're getting a degree."
Robbins has taken visits to Purdue, West Virginia and most recently Oklahoma. The trip to Norman was an eye-opening experience for the talented cornerback.
"It was more than what everyone told me about it. It was 30-minutes from Oklahoma City and that's a good thing and the campus was nice and big," he said. "The fans kept me in the game the whole game and the players were motivated."
