USC Rides Jarrett to Victory
After a relatively quiet game against Arkansas, receiver Dwayne Jarrett scorched the Husker secondary to the tune of 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Trojans found the endzone in every quarter but ran just 68 plays due to the slowdown tactics by Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan.
The game was certainly one of the most bizarre contests I have witnessed in person. In the first quarter the Huskers successfully executed a fake punt and even held an early 3-0 lead. It had the makings of a great game with Big Red coming out and taking their best shot at the Trojans on the road, making a statement that they were not about to be bowled over in LA.
