Bruin musings of spring
One of the reasons Bruin fans are anticipating spring ball this year is to see what effect new offensive coordinator Jay Norvell will have on the offense. Bruin fans are hoping Norvell can spark the kind of turn around that DeWayne Walker supplied with the defensive side of the ball.

The only holdovers from 2005 were Dino Babers who ended up replacing Eric Bieniemy as running back coach and recruiting coordinator.
The lone returning coach on the defensive side of the ball was Gary DeLoach.
From the first day of spring in 2006 those in attendance could see the defense was playing with a whole new attitude.
After a frustrating and sluggish on field performance offensively once again Dorrell had to make a change. He hired Norvell to jumpstart an offense that had Bruin fans cheering with delight in 2005.
