A Change Of Plans For Releford
Travis Releford had originally planned to be in Lawrence this weekend for the Jayhawk Invitational, but it appears those plans have changed. Instead, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound shooting guard from Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan., will spend the weekend practicing with his Adidas Nation teammates. Jayhawk Slant spoke to Releford about his plans and where things stand with his recruitment.
KU fans hoping to get a closer look at Releford, the No. 50 ranked player in the class of 2008, will likely have to wait. While a final decision will be made on Thursday afternoon, it appears that the four-star prospect is all but sold on spending the weekend with his Adidas Nation teammates.
As it stands right now, the No. 8 ranked shooting guard in the class is receiving a heavy amount of interest from Kansas, Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas State, Louisville, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas.
