Statement game for Kansas
Twice this season, against Syracuse and Arizona, Kansas was presented the opportunity to make a statement on the court, but failed to do so. When the Jayhawks and Tennessee Volunteers take the court at 1:00 CST, Bill Self's squad will once again have the opportunity to gain a signature win during the non-conference portion of the schedule. When Kansas does take the court to face Tennessee, the Jayhawks might do so with a complete roster, as Mario Little could make his debut against the Volunteers.
Two times this season, against Syracuse at the Sprint Center and at Arizona, Kansas was presented with the opportunity to make a statement on the hardwood. So far this season, the Jayhawks, who are extremely young and inexperienced, have failed to win a big game during the non-conference portion of their schedule.
