CaneSport Live, a new radio show featuring CaneSport Publisher Gary Ferman and Canes receiving legend Lamar Thomas, will make its debut tonight at 8 p.m. on 790 The Ticket in Miami.

The show will also be streamed live and archived on canesport.com and 790theticket.com. After the Florida Marlins baseball season, it will fall into a regular October and November time slot on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m.

The live call-in fan show is part of a new joint content-sharing and marketing agreement between CaneSport, America's foremost authority on University of Miami football for the past 19 years, and 790 The Ticket. The agreement will significantly enhance each entity's coverage of the Miami Hurricanes this fall.

Ferman and CaneSport Editors Jim Martz and Matthew Shodell will be regular contributors during 790 The Ticket programming and will also team with the station to present weekly pre-game and post-game shows before and after each Hurricanes game.

Canes Gameday will be a two-hour show preceding every Miami football game hosted by Alan Strauss and the CaneSport staff. The show will launch Saturday afternoon prior to the Miami-Florida game.

The Fifth Quarter Show will be a two-hour postgame show following every Miami game hosted by Strauss, Thomas and CaneSport Publisher Gary Ferman.

"CaneSport is the unquestioned leader in daily coverage of the Miami Hurricanes," 790 The Ticket program director Steve White said. "I know that when I really want to know what is going on with the Canes, I automatically go to CaneSport.com.

"Their staff will be an incredible resource for us as we cover and react to all of the news involving the team this fall. And this relationship will also allow us to further showcase our station and engage the most rabid members of the Miami fan base. We call ourselves the station of the fan and we find that the people who frequent CaneSport.com are some of the most opinionated and knowledgeable supporters of the Hurricanes."

CaneSport will co-cast all shows live on its website, CaneSport.com, where it also will feature all guest appearances on 790 The Ticket by Hurricane personalities during regular station programming. Listeners can call the show at 1-888-790-3776.

"We are extremely excited about our new alliance with 790 The Ticket," CaneSport Publisher Gary Ferman said. "We feel that the format of the station and the way in which they engage their listeners combined with the demographics of their audience fits very well with what we do at CaneSport and at CaneSport.com.

"Our participation in the pre and post-game shows as well as the Tuesday night show will allow us to further interact with the fans beyond what we do daily on our Internet message boards."
