I love DWade; he's the greatest player in Heat history.  But it's obvious he's not the player he used to be.  He's a max contract player.  Does Riley make a play to trade him in the offseason?  We desperately need some size and a shooter.  It will be very interesting to see how Riley approaches this situation.

I'm sorry, but this has got to be the bullshit post of the year. They just won two games against a a better team, the Heat are being carried by the big three. Youth i skilling the Thunder, the Heat are just plain thirsty for a championship...nobody need to be a critic right now, we are up two one with two more at home... If Wade flatlines the rest of the series and we lose, then go ahead and ask, but right now?? Silly.

He is playing hurt. Needs to rest and maybe get that Kobe procedure on his knee. He is still D Wade when healthy.

Untimely strip and then a miss....so get rid of him? Don't every apply for General Manager. HE is Max contract for a reason. He wasn't given that contract. He earned it and he is a great young player. This would be a foolish move.

I applaud the OP for his fwd thinking.

His injuries are not going to get better over time that's for sure and please believe, the BULLS will be  HUNGRY AS PHUCK next year.

I'll say this, if the procedure over in Germany doesn't work successfully for Wade, this would be a topic to revisit before the ALL STAR BREAK of 2013.

Can't stay complacent.

LMAO....Complacent?  Miami is winning in the NBA finals sir...with several games to go. I don't think this is the time to discuss getting rid of DWade. He is a vital reason the team is there. He almost single handedly brought the team their only championship. How about following the finals and hoping they actually win. Not a good idea to throw Wades name out for a trade right now.

As stated earlier, he's playing injured. U then need to propose a trade for him which u get significantly more in return being that he is Miami heat basketball over the past decade. They need better role players and a big guy. Their PG's tonight had zero points heading into the 4th quarter. He can only do so much. Plus we always put his performance side by side with lebron,, which is not fair. Get Steve Nash, one more bench scorer and a big man and they'll be OK. I know they have no cap room, but cut miller and sign Nash to vet minimum (which is very possible he may take) and he can rest a little more and be healthier long term

NO, I mean everyone has a price, only way I would do it is straight up for the Orlando Center, that will never happen, so the answer is NO.

I wouldn't trade Dwade for Howard either. This would make the team slower, with less quickness in transition and in the perimeter. Howard contributes better rebounding but you can get players that can get you that without giving up Wade.

Love the forward thinking OP.

Keep it up bro!

Anybody here who thinks that LJ sticks with the heat without D Wade is delusionsl, they signed up to play together, if Wade leaves, Lebron will sign elsewhere.

the original post brings up a good point.. if you made the correct trade and what you could get for Wade.. Lebron could win the Heat 4 more rings with the right pieces.. Lebron is the future Wade is the past

The big three exist in Miami because of Wade. Riley is loyal to a fault, and theres no way he entertains the thought of trading Wade, ESPECIALLLY if the Heat are able to pull off a championship.

Riley is no fool.

Basketball has chemistry too. It isn't just about interchangeable parts and then  you go. This big 3 is very close. Wade and James are best friends and Bosh is also close with them. You aren't going to replace that after a championship. THis isn't Kobe and an aging Shaq who hate each other. These guys compliment each other and they got to the finals in year one. People act like that is easy. That is very difficult and  a bad year is them getting to the finals? The heat aren't he Lakers or the Celtics. The Heat are going to milk this for all they can get. They woud be stupid not to. A lot of players want to play with those 3.
