Johnson will be key to deep run in March

If you see Elijah Johnson strolling around campus with a big smile on his face, don't expect the look to change anytime soon. Since taking over the point guard duties following the suspension of Tyshawn Taylor on February 21, Johnson, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound floor general from Las Vegas, Nev., has guided the Jayhawks to four straight victories, the most recent a four point victory, 70-66, against the Missouri Tigers in Columbia on Sunday. There's no doubt that Johnson has had much to smile about lately, and if KU expects to make a deep run in March, it will be up to the former five-star prospect to lead the way.
