Blanks talks Auburn visit

North Florida Christian’s Travis Blanks, one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2012 class, took an unofficial visit to Auburn this week.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Blanks from Tallahassee arrived on the Plains Wednesday night and stayed until Friday.

“It went really good,” said Blanks. “I got to see a lot of things, talk to a lot of people and coaches. I had a really good time.”

Blanks spent time with coach Gene Chizik, recruiter Curtis Luper and cornerbacks coach Phillip Lolley.

“I ate dinner with Coach Luper and Coach Chizik Wednesday night, and then Thursday morning we went up to the stadium and I talked to Coach Chizik again, got a tour of everything and just hung out all day,” Blanks. “That night I hung out with (Auburn defensive back) Ryan White and some other players....
