GBK Exclusive: Army lands huge commitment for 2013

Army's 2013 recruiting class got big boost Thursday afternoon when three-star prospect Patrick Joseph, who key clog in on the top offensive lines in the nation opted to end his recruiting.

"I just committed to Army. I just got off the phone with coach (Andy) Guayder a few minutes ago," said Joseph to GoBlackKnights.com. "There are a lot of people in Shelby, North Carolina who are going to be happy about this."

Joseph's heavy lean towards Army, as being first-reported by GBK over the past few weeks becomes the 1st commitment for the Black Knights' 2013 recruiting class.

Rivals.com bills the 6-foot-3, 278-pounder and offensive line teammates at Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton High School as one of the top line combination in the country.

Before Joseph gave his verbal pledge to the Black Knights, the guard/center prospect respectfully reached out to the coaching staffs at both Arizona and Arizona State out of the Pac-12 to thank them the effort/time they put in recruiting/offering him.
