Running back Jacob Taylor, rushed for an unbelievable 4,036 yards and 57 touchdowns on 416 attempts. To add to his senior season, Taylor also help lead Lake Arrowhead (Calif.) Rim of the World High School to the state's CIF Championship.

Rim defeated Ontario Christian, 34-31 for the CIF Southern Section - East Valley Division III Championship. "Yes, we finished 21-2 and won the CIF for our Division," declared Taylor.

So far so good, right? Well, the 5-foot-11, 173 pound running back hasn't pulled in the breath of offers that one, especially Taylor himself might expect with the numbers he put up in 2012.

However, for the Army Black Knights, Taylor's talents and workhorse like attitude would be an ideal fit for the program that lead the nation in rushing offense for the past two football seasons.

"Right now it's just West Point (aka Army) and I just got a call from The Citadel," shared Taylor, who is scheduled to take his official visit to Army on January 17th. "I heard from Army two days ago when Coach Saadat (Payam) called me."

"My interest in Army recently has increased. What West Point represents and what goes along with that. When he (Saadat) spoke, we were just confirming my visit there. I'm looking forward to seeing the campus, the community and everything that goes with West Point."

It is clear that Taylor is a workhorse, but when asked about his style of running, he had this to offer. "I can run inside, make someone miss, I can break tackles and if I get to the corner, I can outrun most people," said Taylor, who also shared who he has as his all-time favorite running back.

"I watch a lot of Barry Sanders and try to emulate my game after his," declared Taylor, who also participates in track as well. His events include the 100M, 200M and the long jump. According to Taylor, his best time in the 100M is 11.1 to go along with a personal best 4.4 forty.
