Recruiting Update: WR still a need

Tulsa's 2013 football recruiting class has about five spots remaining, and there is still a need at the wide receiver position. The Hurricane hopes to pluck one of its top remaining WR prospects as official visits heat up.

At one time, TU had two wide receiver commitments in the 2013 class. One of them -- Keevan Lucas from Abilene, Texas -- started classes at Tulsa this week after graduating a semester early from high school. He will participate in spring practice.

The other commitment was from Tulsa (Okla.) Union star Khalid Kornegay. However, the 3-star prospect apparently will go the junior college route instead. It appears Tulsa will fill Kornegay's spot with another wideout, as they continue to aggressively recruit that position.
