Logan Burns is building quite a resume down in the Nashville area while ballin' for the Burros of Hillsboro (Tn.) High School.

As a junior, he accumulated 20 tackles, 8 pass break-ups, and one interception to go along with 4 receptions, 150 yards and one touchdown playing both cornerback and wide receiver. Those numbers earned him a spot on the all-district team.

Despite playing just down the road, the 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is not on Western Kentucky's radar at the moment. However, he is currently drawing interest from BCS caliber teams like Tennessee and Nebraska.

Burns is currently rehabbing an injury, which may alter his plans for Junior Day visits.

"I should be going to some, but I'm coming off an ACL injury so I'm not sure if I'll be participating," explained Burns. "It happened during the first round of the playoffs and I should be back by May."

With a full recovery expected by summer, he plans on visiting some local camps along with out-of-state camps as well.

"Yeah, I plan on attending the UT camp and the Vanderbilt camp. I know coach (Craig) Clayton wants me to go down to Florida and Kentucky, so I might hit those states."

While he hasn't heard anything from Western Kentucky, Burns is impressed with what the Hilltoppers have to offer as a program.

"I know they have a good football team and their coaching staff is really good, I know coach Petrino is a really good college coach and our kicker (Joe Occhipinti) just signed with them."

Obviously, playing cornerback and wide receiver requires a need for speed, but Burns lists many other attributes that make him standout as a football player.

"4.4 speed, long and tall, I'm 5-foot-10, so I can run with a lot of tall receivers. I'm pretty strong for my size, great hands, nice route-runner, and a smart player overall."

With the Volunteers and Cornhuskers already in the mix, expect other teams to join the pursuit of Logan Burns as he competes in the summer camp circuit leading into his senior season.
