Walker: 'I'm Fixing to Change the Game'
There were a number of places on defense that Oklahoma could have used some more playmakers at last year and one of those positions was at defensive tackle. With the 2013 class the Sooners signed four at the position with one of them being Charles Walker of Garland (Texas) South Garland.
The 6-foot-4 and 280-pound athletic prospect was a late offer, which was surprising to some after seeing him on film. But it was due to some injuries he suffered throughout his career and some grade issues that were later taken care of. After the season, Walker actually had to have surgery on one of his shoulders that has since fully healed. Since then he says he has been in the gym every day of the week trying to prepare for when he gets to Oklahoma.
"I'm a hundred percent now and I'm in the gym every day of the week," Walker answered. "I train on Saturday and Sunday (with a personal trainer). That's about it, just doing my school classes and getting ready for the next level."
