Dixon: 'I had an amazing visit'

D'Cota Dixon came away from his weekend visit to Michigan State saying the Spartans now rank "very high" after being impressed with the people within the Spartan program.

Dixon, a 5-foot-11, 179-pound defensive back from New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) High School, is a three-star recruit with offers from schools such as Michigan State, Auburn, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Central Florida, West Virginia, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.

Defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi is the primary recruiter for Dixon, who sports a 3.8 GPA and spends one hour a day working in the high school office.

MSU is recruiting him as a safety, and gave him a feel this weekend for what it would be like to play that position for the Spartans.

The following is a transcript with Dixon's interview on Monday afternoon with SpartanMag.com publisher Jim Comparoni:

Comparonii: D'Cota, I have to start out with this: Judging by some of the things you put out on Twitter, it sounds like you were impressed with your visit to Michigan State over the weekend:
Dixon: "Yeah, I had an amazing visit."
