Isaac Geffard visits FIU

Rivals 3-star prospect Isaac Geffard was one of the visitors Saturday to watch FIU's practice. He visited with his twin brother Jacob and teammate Travis Laurent. How did the visit go?

"It was real good," said the 6 foot 3, 186-pound Geffard. "I saw a lot of things I like. FIU came up on the list."

Have you ever been to FIU before?

"That was my first time. I really didn't know anything about the program until then. I am going to be back there for the first home game against USF. They are opening their new stadium."

How do you feel about the direction of their football program?

"I think they are going to do some good things. They have a lot of young cats playing. They are not afraid to play young people."

When did FIU offer you?

"They were actually my first offer. Coach Wright was at our spring practice and Coach Cristobal called and told me they were going to offer me. I have never been happier than that. That was the happiest day of my life."

What did you do on your visit?

"We watched them practice they had a very systematic and fast practice. Then we all toured the campus and I like how everything was set up. I like how everything is right there. Then we talked to Coach Wright, the Strength and Conditioning coach and Coach Cristobal."

Do you have a favorite college right now?

"My top 3 were Louisville, Iowa State and Minnesota, but after the visit today I see a lot of stuff I like about FIU to move them into the top 5 along with South Carolina."
