Miami still in mix for Williams

Baton Rouge (La.) University standout Rivals100 defender Tim Williams currently claims no favorite but the most common players mentioned in his recruitment have been Florida State, Miami, Alabama, and LSU.

Over the last few weeks, three of those four have made their presence felt in Williams' Baton Rouge home.

"Nothing much just the home visits. The coaches coming over," Williams said. "I had coach Dameyune Craig from Florida State, coach Saban from Alabama, and coach Jethro (Franklin) from Miami."

How did the visits go?

"They went well," Williams said. "We were just sitting around talking and they were getting familiar with my family because everything else as far as recruiting we've already gotten past as far as recruiting."

One program noticeably absent from the in-home visit list is LSU, the only program he was able to visit this fall. Williams says the Tigers are still in the mix and have let him know he always has a home in Baton Rouge.

Williams plans to branch out and see a few other campuses in the very near future. In fact he has three visits in the works for January

"Right now I'll probably take an official to Alabama on the 11th, Miami on the 18th, and Florida State on the 25th," Williams said.

The standout defensive end mentioned an official visit to LSU was a possibility, and also the thought of maybe taking a fifth and final visit to Texas.

As for a decision, Williams continues to take his time. However, he does have an idea about when he expects to arrive at his choice.

"After my officials and after I see everything," Williams said.
