Canes showing renewed interest in A&M commit

Cedar Hill (Tex.) High School WR Camron Buckley is a Texas A&M commitment.

But UM receivers coach Ron Dugans initiated contact in the last few days and now Buckley - who is former Cane Jessie Armstead's nephew - is considering an official visit to Miami.

"I always have respect for Dugans, he's a great man," Buckley told CaneSport at today's Under Armour practice session. "Miami's a great place.

"I know (Miami) needs receivers. They do need receivers."

Buckley says he doesn't' know yet if he'll visit Miami. Asked if he does visit if that would show he's serious about the Canes, Buckley said, "I'm not going to say yet."

Of why he's an Aggies commit, he said, "The family camaraderie, stuff like that, the other commits. It's like a brotherhood, the coaching staff. When I went there it felt like home."

CaneSport's take

With UM losing out on Mike Harley, the Canes are exploring other options and certainly Buckley is a talented wideout. He was high in Miami back in May before the Canes backed off him, and with UM now showing interest again it'll be interesting to see if Miami can make strides here.
