Jolla Visits Miami For Washington Game

There has been plenty of time for New Orleans St. Augustine High School wide receiver Akieem Jolla to think over his Aug. 28 commitment to the Hurricanes.
He hasn't wavered.

"It's solid," Jolla said. "That's where I want to go -- UM, baby. I've always been a Miami fan. I grew up watching Michael Irvin and Warren Sapp play. I love the orange and green."
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound receiver with 4.3-second speed in the 40-yard dash says other schools are getting the message that he's off the table.
"Everybody was recruiting me, but not anymore," said Jolla, who even traveled to South Florida for last Saturday night's Washington game. "I don't get any more calls. Everybody knows I'm going to Miami."
Jolla's high school season ended recently, and he finished the year with 10 touchdown catches. He had three of those in one game -- he had four catches for 104 yards in that game.
Jolla says he initially considered Florida and Florida State along with Miami, but UM won out.
"I knew I'd go to one of those schools because those are the places to go if you're a receiver," Jolla said. "I chose Miami."
Jolla has scheduled only one official visit, and that's to Miami.
"I'm not going to visit anywhere else," Jolla said.
Jolla's trip for the Washington game was an unofficial visit. He will make an official visit at a later date.
