Knee injury sidelines Johnson for Sweet 16

Miami Center Reggie Johnson, who has struggled in recent weeks, was having arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday and did not travel with the team to Washington D.C., sources told CaneSport.
Johnson apparently suffered the knee injury in Sunday's victory against Illinois.
If Miami is able to advance to the Final Four, there is a chance Johnson could rejoin the team in time for the trip to Atlanta.
His absence will challenge Miami's frontcourt depth in a game where the inside matchups were believed to be a focal point of success. Julian Gamble and Kenny Kadji will likely have to play extended minutes and freshman Tonye Jekiri also could play more.
