"I'll go to get better, learn, just have fun," he said.
McCray, who is former Cane DL Teraz McCray's cousin, says UM remains high in his picture but he's not listing any favorites. He lists offers from the likes of FIU, FAU, Syracuse, Minnesota, Cincinnati and Tulane.
"I've been talking to Miami coaches - coach (Hurlie) Brown and coach (Paul) Williams are recruiting me," McCray said. "They talk about school things, ask how I'm doing."
McCray was last on UM's campus for the Clemson basketball game, and he was among the recruits at the spring game.
Of what he likes about UM, McCray said, "The tradition, all the players that went to the NFL. A lot of my family, friends went there. I've been a fan of Miami ever since I was born."
McCray says he plans to narrow things down "hopefully by the summer. I want to make a decision this summer."
Of what he wants in a college program, McCray said, "Just the school, somewhere I can adapt to. I want a place I can win it all, win everything."
He previously listed UM as the frontrunner but now says "I'm not sure."
