CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami baseball team (7-1) completed the four-game series sweep over the Princeton Tigers (0-4) Sunday afternoon with a final score of 8-0.

Right-handed pitcher Brian Walters (2-0) notched his second win of the season after a dominant performance on the mound. Through six innings, Walters held the Tigers to no runs or hits while striking out nine.

The bats continued to show up and show out for the Hurricanes. In the first inning, after an RBI single from Jake Ogden that drove in Michael Torres, designated hitter Bobby Marsh mashed his first home run and grand slam of the season, lifting Miami to a 5-0 lead.

Carson Fischer, who took over for Walters in the sixth, could tame the Tigers at the plate while Ogden and Dorian Gonzalez Jr. each registered an RBI to move Miami ahead 8-0.

Ogden finished the game perfectly at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBI.

The weekend sweep over Princeton is the first four-game sweep since 2022, which occurred against Towson in the opening home series. The Hurricanes outscored Townson in the series, 45-13.

The Hurricanes' next game is a midweek matchup at Mark Light Field against Florida Gulf Coast University on Wednesday, February 26, at 6 p.m.
