Pro Comparison: Cornerback - Antione Jackson

Miami has added a versatile corner with ball-hawking ability with Antione Jackson. At 6 ft 170 he already possesses a solid frame to mold however he is just 16 years old after reclassifying from the 24' class and will continue to develop during his time at Miami.

Jackson has great footwork paired with long arms which makes his potential intriguing on the outside as he also shows the physicality needed to play for a Mario Cristobal-coached team.

The four-star corner out of local Broward County powerhouse Dillard High school is known as one of the top public schools for producing talent in South Florida. canes fans are familiar with Dillard as Miami four-star 2023 RB signee Chris Johnson Jr. and current Cane Nyjalik Kelly was Jackson's teammate.

Jackson is a physical corner who is at his best when in man coverage, his frame allows him to get hands-on WR to disrupt their releases, and he has shown the ability several times to break off his man to reel in interceptions as when a QB puts the ball in the air around Antione it is his to come down with.

His ability to put his foot on the ground and break on the ball is special, he has shown that ability vs nationally ranked powerhouse St Thomas Aquinas as he was left on an island vs four-star receiver James Madison II where he ran the comeback route for him and came down with the interception.

Super-fluid in his movements and wants to compete at the highest level. His ball skills will be his calling card. If he gets his hands on the football he is coming down with it, as he made several highlight reel catches on offense this past season cementing the talk of his great hands.

"Antione Jackson who graduated early, do you know how hard it is to graduate early and get reclassified, that's hard," Head Coach Mario Cristobal said. "That takes a lot. He's going to get great mentorship from the guys here and we already have that planned out."

Pro Comparison: JC Jackson

JC Jackson is one of the NFL premier ballhawks and with his 6'1" 200-pound frame many can see Antione continuing to grow and add weight during his time at Miami to become that size. A true man corner who is not scared of the moment when it comes to lining up across from big-time receivers.

JC Jackson's eyes also allow for him to hunt for interceptions while in the zone with his eyes on the quarterback. JC Jackson originally signed with Florida, but had to enroll in a junior college, where he then transferred to Maryland and went undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft.

He signed with the New England Patriots quickly taking the league by storm and becoming a premier corner with 173 career tackles, 55 pass breakups, and 25 interceptions while being selected as a pro bowler and 2nd team all-pro in 2021.
