American Heritage Plantation (FL) vs Chaminade-Madonna (FL), Friday

This premier Broward County showdown features nearly 15 Miami targets. Five-star prospects like Brandon Inniss, Jeremiah Smith and Joshisa Trader headline the game. The one-on-one matchups of Inniss and freshman sensation Malachi Toney vs Edwin Joseph and Chris Ewald Jr. plus Heritage running backs Mark Fletcher and Byron Louis vs Zaquan Patterson and Wayne Peart should make this one of the toughest decisions for anyone making a prediction.

This yearly rivalry ended in a 26-24 victory for American Heritage last season, despite Heritage playing from behind till the final ten seconds of the game.

Pittsburg (CA) vs Folsom (CA), Friday

Miami quarterback commit Jaden Rashada has been on fire to start the year, averaging over 260 yards per game with nine touchdowns and no interceptions. He takes his 3-0 Pirates into their toughest game of the year against Folsom, a top 100 team in the country. Pittsburg came up short last year against Folsom, losing 38-17 to kick off 2021.

Orlando Jones (FL) vs Orlando Edgewater (FL), Friday

Orlando Jones and Miami commit linebacker Malik Bryant continue a tough stretch of games this week against the Cedric Baxter-led Edgewater Eagles. Jones was able to knock off 2021 state finalist Cocoa in week one but took a loss to nationally ranked Duncanville (TX) a couple of weeks back. Bryant and Texas commit Baxter should meet routinely throughout this game, potentially giving a glimpse of two of college football's brightest stars going at it.

Miami Edison (FL) vs Miami Northwestern (FL), Friday

Nathaniel 'Ray Ray' Joseph continues to be the focal point of every opposing defensive coordinator's game plan against Edison and despite that focus, he still got in the end zone and had some near scores on special teams last week against North Miami.

Northwestern is coming off a running-clock loss to Chaminade-Madonna and the big-time wide receiver duo of Florida commit Andy Jean and three-star Adam Moore will look to bounce back against the Red Raiders.

Joseph will see much of a future ACC rival in cornerback Rayquan Adkins in this game, a Lousiville commit.

Miami Palmetto (FL) vs Columbus (FL), Friday

This game happened three times last season!!! Columbus grabbed the majority in close fashion. Mario Cristobal's alma mater beat up on top-ranked Tampa Jesuit, 32-15, last week, but now gets a highly motivated and uber-athletic Palmetto team that is trying to right the ship early in 2022.

The trio of five-star linebacker TJ Capers, four-star defensive end Dylan Stephenson, and three-star defensive lineman Daylen Russell will look to slow down Miami commit Robby Washington and four-star athlete Jacorey Barney coming off a 33-13 victory over Miami Killian.

LaSalle (FL) vs Booker T. Washington (FL)

LaSalle and Miami commit offensive lineman Frankie Tinilau has helped lead his team to a 2-0 start to 2022, but one of their toughest challenges comes in the form of Booker T. Washington, a team that had Miami Central on the ropes 22-19 late in the game last week.

2024 four-star defensive tackle Jamorie Flagg will be Tinilau's most prolific opponent to date and his performance in this matchup of Power 5 prospects will tell how ready he is for the next level.

St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) vs Davie Western (FL), Friday

St. Thomas Aquinas is considered the standard of high school football and the Raiders finish the second half of a two-game deal with Western this week. Last year, the game was surprisingly close, finishing with a score of 31-21.

Aquinas has upwards of 25 division one prospects on their roster, including Miami targets King Mack, Conrad Hussey, Jordan Lyle, Chance Robinson, Ryan Mack and Nicholas Rodriguez. The future all-time leading passer in Broward County, Collin Hurst, and four-star wide receiver Santana Fleming will try to capitalize on the close result of last season.

Miami Central (FL) vs Carol City (FL), Thursday

Miami Central struggled until late, last week against Booker T. Washington. No Rueben Bain had as big of an impact as anticipated but similar results should not be expected this week against one-time rival Carol City. Bain is expected to be held out once again, but 2025 Miami targets Ezekiel Marcelin and safety Amari Wallace should pick up the slack once again for the Rockets in what should be a five-score differential by the end of the game.
