D'Eriq King wraps up busy first day of NIL celebrating at The Wharf

It’s been a whirlwind 24 hours for D’Eriq King.

With NIL legislation taking effect July 1 the Cane QB has signed deals with College Hunks Hauling Junk, The Wharf, Murphy Auto Group and Dreamfield.

As an example, he got $10,000 up front from College Hunks Hauling Junk and can double that over the next 10 months of the contract.

Dreamfield is also working on a major project that, if it comes to fruition could be very valuable: Player NFT's. And if you don't know what that is, Google it. Dreamfield is in the midst of creating 30 NFT's of King and already has a bid of $10,000 for one.

So yes, college football, the money is coming.

As for King, he spent Thursday night celebrating at The Wharf with his mother, brother and Dreamfield business partners.

Needless to say, King is excited about the future of college football and NIL.

"I think it's super great, is long overdue," King said. "I'm excited for guys to make money, not just myself but my teammates - the offensive line especially, everyone on my team to make money."
