Miami’s chase for offensive linemen continues.

CaneSport learned that, as UM seeks to fill spots on the line following the defections of Michael Tarquin and Kingsley Eguakun, that Miami has just offered an out of state lineman.

Nick Pendley, a 6-foot-4, 300-pounder, is projected by many to wind up at Mississippi State.

He has other offers from the likes of UNC, USC, USF and Memphis.

Now Miami has entered the fray.

Pendley told CaneSport he is "definitely" going to take a Miami official visit and that he picked up the offer when line coach Stacy Searels visited his school today.

"Miami is high on my list," Pendley said.

CaneSport's take

Pendley has legitimate interest in Miami, and a lot will hinge on his visit. We'll monitor him moving forward and see how this plays out as UM is in dire need of talented linemen.
