Miami is looking to continue to build its 2024 and future classes. Here's a rundown of how commits and targets did on the high school gridiron last week.

Miami's 2024 quarterback commit helped lead his team to a multi-score comeback against Dutchtown. Judd Anderson completed 22 of 37 throws for 253 yards and three touchdowns, plus another fifty yards on the ground.

Milton's Luke Nickel, Miami's 2025 quarterback commit, had yet another standout 2023 game, throwing for 264 yards and completing 65 percent of his passes for three touchdowns in a 35-12 win over Alpharetta.

Miami 2026 four-star target Noah Grubbs continued his strong start to 2023 with a 348-yard, five-touchdown game, leading Lake Mary to a 35-2 win over Lake Brantley.

One of Miami's newest targets, St. Thomas Aquinas four-star Jordan Lyle, put on a show against Western, totaling 185 yards, including over 120 on the ground in a 48-22 win.

Top Miami 2025 target Alvin Henderson was special against Brantley, rushing for 271 yards and five scores as he spearheaded the offensive attack in a 48-0 victory.

Newly minted top five 2026 running back Javian Mallory continued his streak of 100-yard games, totaling 160 yards and three touchdowns as West Boca beat Port St. Lucie 42-3.

It was a tough loss against nationally ranked Chaminade-Madonna for American Heritage Plantation, but 2025 running back Byron Louis ran for a formidable 114 yards and a score.

Most of his damage came in the first half of Chaminade's 28-16 win over rival American Heritage. Still, five-star wideout Jeremiah Smith was exceptional once again, catching six passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns before the Patriots bracketed him heavily in the second half.

Another week, another multi-score effort for Miami tight end commit Elija Lofton. The running back-receiver combo threat had 98 yards receiving and two touchdowns - one on the ground, one in the air - as Bishop Gorman kept their National Championship hopes alive in a 49-6 win over Liberty.

The rise of four-star 2025 receiver Samari Reed continues as he put Monarch on his back in a 32-6 win over Piper last week. Reed had over 200 total yard and three scores, making his presence felt even after his starting quarterback went down due to injury.

One of the best receivers in the county, top 20 prospect Caleb Cunningham, contributed heavily in a shootout loss to Winona. He had eight catches, 130 yards, and two touchdowns as his team came up just short, 42-35.

West Broward's Joshua Moore helped get his team back in the winning category, beating Dwyer 23-3 behind his seven reception, 111-yard, three-touchdown game.

Four-star defensive lineman LJ McCray is one of the final building blocks for Miami in 2024, and he showed why in a 26-0 win over Raines. He had two tackles for loss and a sack while generating pressure after pressure.

Miami's latest potential addition from in-state Eau Gallie, four-star defensive tackle Brandon Brown, had 11 tackles and six tackles for loss as his team held Satellite to just seven points in a win.

Do not judge him on his size. Columbus 2025 linebacker Hector Chavez had arguably the best performance by a Miami target backer last week, racking up ten tackles in a shutout victory over rival Palmetto. He was the primary catalyst in holding them to under 50 total yards and just three first downs for the game.

Five-star Miami safety commit Zaquan Patterson is making the post-Kamren Kinchens and James Williams world easier to stomach week after week. Against a nationally ranked opponent in Heritage, he had eight tackles and a tackle for loss while handling his own in coverage and special teams.

Four-star cornerback Chris Ewald Jr. continues to fight for his fifth star and argues for being the top cornerback in the country. Ewald did not allow a catch against American Heritage and had two pass breakups with five tackles, showing he can help in run support. He still has not allowed a score to an in-state opponent.

Nipping on Ewald's heels is four-star Naa'eem Offord, who had an interception in a 62-28 win against Mortimer Jordan (AL), who came into the contest undefeated. He also played some offense and caught a pass with his 20-yard interception return.

The star of American Heritage's defense in the tough loss to Chaminade was three-star 2025 cornerback Gregory Thomas. He was tasked with covering five-star Miami commit Joshisa Trader while mixing in some safety reps and finished the night with an interception in man coverage - all in front of head coach Mario Cristobal.
