Quarterback Cam Ward, defensive lineman Tyler Baron, wide receiver Xavier Restrepo, offensive lineman Jalen Rivers, and defensive back Meesh Powell talk post-game after the 41-17 season-opening win over Florida.

Ward started by answering a question regarding his offensive line (0:04) and shared his thoughts on getting a win in his first game as a Hurricane (0:38). He commented on making a statement in game one (1:07) and living up to expectations in the season-opener (2:12).

Ward wanted to stay in the game for its final moments and explained why (2:38). He talks of his touchdown pass to Jacolby George (3:10), the play of Xavier Restrepo (4:09), and his pass attempt (4:39).

He shared his thoughts on choosing to attend the University of Miami instead of the NFL (4:52).

Ward answered a question about keeping the team level-headed (5:34) and discussed the crowd noise of "The Swamp" (6:00) and the preparation that went into it (6:59).

Baron opened with his thoughts on his first game as a Hurricane and also commented on the loss of Rueben Bain to injury (0:18).

He commented on Ward's play (0:49) and Miami's culture (1:02). He also shared his thoughts on how a win like this can propel the team forward (1:15) and on executing the game plan against Florida's offensive line (1:28).

Baron talked of dancing to Florida's song after a sack (1:55) and the message sent to the nation with the win (2:08).

Restrepo explained what it took to win against Florida, discussed his chemistry with Ward (0:31), and discussed how the Miami quarterback's confidence permeates the entire team (0:57).

Rivers discussed the preparation for the game (1:17). Restrepo answered a question about a significant gain during the game (1:49) and responded to the team's feelings after Ward threw an interception (2:03).

Rivers discusses what the win means for the state of Florida (2:29), and Restrepo comments on whether the atmosphere at Florida State compares to Florida's.

Both commented on sophomore running back Mark Fletcher's return from injury (3:23). Rivers shared his thoughts on Matt McMcoy and Ryan Rodriguez rotating at left guard (4:02) and the physicality imposed on Florida (4:34).

Rivers commented on playing a quality opponent in the first game (5:12) and the message from Ward pre-game (5:41).

Restrepo discussed missing the pass to Sam Brown (6:03), and Rivers commented on tight end Elijah Arroyo returning from injury (6:24).

Powell opens with sharing his take on his interception in the second half. He talks of his experience of his first game as a Miami Hurricane in a rivalry game (0:31), the physicality of the defense (0:58), and the play of the secondary (1:25).

He shared his thoughts on the crowd noise in The Swamp (1:59). He said he plans to play 16 more games, insinuating that the team will make the College Football Playoff (2:06).

Powell shared how he is patient as a safety waiting for opportunities (2:34), and thinks the team could win a national championship (3:10).

He also talks about how the team can gel with many transfers (3:44) and watching Ward playing quarterback in the orange and green (4:25)
