4-star has Canes in top 3, will be at 1st Junior Day

Hialeah (FL) Champagnat High School LB/DE Greg Rousseau says he’s “considering Miami seriously for sure.”

Indeed.

He says his top three is UM, LSU and USC.

“They’re all even,” Rousseau said.

Those programs are among his 10 offers.

“Coach (Ephraim) Banda and coach (Manny) Diaz are my Miami recruiters,” Rousseau said. “They want me to come in, say I can play early and that I can win championships there.”

Rousseau says he plans to attend UM’s Feb. 18 junior day, which includes attending a basketball game.

“I’m looking forward to that,” he said. “I’ve never been to one of their basketball games.”

Rousseau says he’s not looking to make a commitment that day no matter how his time on campus goes, but he’s also not planning to wait too long.

“It’ll probably be in the spring,” Rousseau said.

He says of UM that “I like how they’re switching things up, how their defense is playing.”

Rousseau has already visited UM several times unofficially and we feel the Canes have a very good shot of landing his commitment. This is definitely one to follow closely.
