Five-star Justin Scott and others lock-in official visit dates

Miami continues to do a tremendous job of re-building the program through recruiting, as the 2023 recruiting class finished ranked 7th in the nation, and the 2024 class is currently ranked 29th in the nation after a recent wave of prospects pledging their loyalty to Miami.

That ranking is bound to increase as several top players announced Thursday that they will officially visit Miami via social media.

The five-star defensive tackle Justin Scott is a lean to Miami and many believe that the Hurricanes are out in front for his recruitment. Scott will officially visit Miami on June 16-18 and it is hard to believe that Miami will relinquish its lead.

The Miami staff will have to fight off the likes of Notre Dame which is close to home and Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio State which he also has official visits scheduled.

Another five-star confirming his official visit to Miami is defensive end Kamarion Franklin. The elite edge rusher enjoyed his trip to Miami but several other schools are in the mix for his talents which include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M.

Jaylen Heyward has become an intriguing prospect to project to Miami as of late. The Georgia commit visited Miami last weekend and now locks an official visit on June 23-25. The Rockledge, FL product is certainly on flip watch this summer.

The technically sound defensive back Ricky Knight has expressed his affinity for the Miami program but Florida State is definitely a team two watch here. Knight has an official visit set with the Seminoles and also Illinois. Miami as of now has the final visit in June (23rd-25th).

Confidence Level - 9

Jerrae Hawkins is definitely a name that is picking up steam as of late. After a May visit Hawkins is intrigued about how he can be utilized in Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson's offense. Hawkins will visit Florida June 9th and Penn State on Juen 23rd. The speedy receiver has locked in a visit to Coral Gables June 2-4.
