Live Updates: Miami Vs. Penn State

Miami and Penn State open up the season on Friday with the two teams only meeting four times previously. Miami won all four matchups which all were at Mark Light Field.

It's the first of a three-game series against the Nittany Lions that will go through the weekend. Miami finished with a 40-19 overall record last season, 20-10 in the ACC

Miami was a sixth seed in the NCAA Tournament, but lost two of three games on its home field to Ole Miss, the eventual 2022 national champions. The Hurricanes begin the 2023 season ranked as a consensus top-25 team and are ranked as high as 8th by Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball.

Penn State was 26-29 in the 2022 season.

Miami remains as one of college baseball's elite programs with four national championships and advanced to the NCAA regionals a record 44 times from 1973 to 2016.
