Pro Comparison: Offensive Lineman - Tommy Kinsler

Miami built one of the best classes in program history with its 2023 recruiting haul. A big part of the haul is Tommy Kinsler. The massive 6'6" 320-pound lineman can play every position on the line and increased his rating after the 2022 season began.

Kinsler, also known as "Bruno" has solid technique with his hands and uses his power to drive defenders away from the football. He has the athleticism to get out and pull on run plays and get downfield for blocks. Kinsler truly excels in the run game and you can tell he enjoys pulverizing his opponents in the screen game.

In pass blocking, he has a relentless motor and his quick feet enable him to get in good positioning to stop pass rushers.

“Bruno is an elite, powerful, knock-you-back as a road raider, but be able to dance on the edge of the perimeter with you at offensive tackle,” said Head Coach Mario Cristobal about Kinsler.

Pro Comparison: Joe Thuney

The Chiefs often use Joe Thuney on cutback blocks, pulls, and jet sweeps and executes on an elite level. Has a similar stature to Kinsler at 6'5" and just over 300 pounds. Kinsler will likely shed some weight to get closer to Thuney's size.

Thuney excels in pass protection part of which led to his all-pro season in 2019. The third-round pick out of NC State in 2016 was named a pro bowler in 2022. Thuney signed a five-year 80 million dollar contract in March of 2021.
